Iran War Warning? Trump’s Nuclear Vow, Gaza Deal & Rising Tensions

President Trump delivered his State of the Union, mixing domestic issues with foreign policy claims. Marco Rubio briefed the Gang of Eight on Iran before the speech. Chuck Schumer criticized secret military actions, warning they could cause longer wars and costly mistakes.

Trump said the US had “wiped out” Iran’s nuclear program, pointing to last June’s strikes on 3 nuclear facilities. He also recalled the 2020 Baghdad strike that killed Qassem Soleimani, saying it changed the region’s balance.

Trump claimed Iran wants to “start all over again”, rebuilding its nuclear program and developing missiles that could reach the US by 2035. He said the regime killed about 32,000 protesters during recent anti-government demonstrations.

Trump said his ceasefire deal brought back all hostages — living and dead — after 2 years of war following the October 7 attack. He described Hamas and Israel recovering 28 remains, sharing the Gvili family’s emotional words.

Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner planned talks with Iranian officials in Geneva, as US warships and jets gathered nearby. Trump demanded Iran promise it would never pursue nuclear weapons before any agreement.

Trump vowed to “never allow” the world’s No. 1 sponsor of terror to get nuclear weapons. Though he prefers diplomacy, he said America’s military power is unmatched and warned that no nation should doubt US resolve.
