Illegal Immigrant Killed A Pregnant 17-Year-Old And Her Unborn Baby In Ohio Crash

On February 16, a Darke County Sheriff’s deputy in Ohio spotted an SUV driving nearly 25 mph over the speed limit — and moved to pull it over, setting off a deadly sequence of events.

The SUV fled the moment emergency lights activated. The deputy paced it at 100 mph, then 124 mph — racing nearly 5 miles through Ohio roads before losing control on a dangerous curve.

The SUV slammed into an eastbound vehicle. Ashlee Holmes, 17 and pregnant, was ejected and killed instantly. Her unborn child also died. The entire deadly pursuit had lasted less than 3 minutes.

The driver, Tarsem Singh, an Indian national, was airlifted to hospital. DHS revealed he had entered the US illegally in February 2017 through California’s southern border — arrested at the time, then released on bond by a judge.

Singh was then indicted on vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and reckless homicide charges. He was held on a $1 million bond as Ohio authorities formally moved his criminal case through the courts.

DHS announced a formal ICE detainer against Singh on Saturday to ensure he is never released. Acting secretary Lauren Bis called it “a tragic reminder” of the dangers of illegal immigrants driving on American roads.
