US-Israel Strikes Rock Iran, Capital Tehran Hit in Massive Night Assault

The United States and Israel carried out coordinated strikes across Tehran, hitting multiple military and government sites at the same time. Large smoke plumes rose as verified videos showed widespread explosions across the capital.

Satellite images showed heavy damage to Leadership House, the office of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran. Burned buildings and debris were visible. Iranian state media confirmed Khamenei was killed. Strikes also hit Narmak and the ministry of intelligence area.

Iranian state media said at least 85 people were killed after 3 missiles hit a girls’ school in Minab, southern Iran. The education ministry confirmed the strike. The BBC could not independently verify the reports due to restricted access.

Military sites were hit across Iran, including Kermanshah, Qom, Isfahan, Tabriz, Karaj, and Konarak. A video confirmed an IRGC base in Kamyaran was bombed. The IDF warned civilians to evacuate areas near military sites before strikes began.

Iran launched retaliatory strikes on Israel and US bases across the region. Explosions were reported in Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait. The UAE reported 1 death. In Bahrain, the US Navy Fifth Fleet centre was hit, with verified footage showing explosions and smoke.

Kuwait said its Ali Al-Salem airbase was targeted by ballistic missiles, but air defenses intercepted them. Jordan shot down 2 ballistic missiles, reporting no casualties and only material damage from the Iranian retaliatory strikes.
