Judge Destroys Blake Lively’s Sexual Harassment Case Against Justin Baldoni Over Technicality

In December 2024, actress Lively sued director Baldoni over alleged harassment during the production of their romantic drama. She claimed the film set fostered a deeply hostile and sexually charged atmosphere.

Court documents revealed shocking allegations. Lawyers claimed Baldoni repeatedly deviated from the agreed script, pressuring Lively into simulated nudity and initiating non-consensual physical contact during a highly sensitive and dramatic birthing scene.

On April 2, Judge Liman issued a sweeping 152-page decision dismissing the sexual harassment claims. He ruled artists need creative freedom and noted she was an independent contractor, dooming the lawsuit.

Despite the dismissal, the judge ruled she can still pursue retaliation claims against the production studio. Jurors will soon decide if defendants orchestrated a vicious smear campaign that severely altered her career.

The high-stakes courtroom trial begins on May 18. While Baldoni and his team celebrate the narrowed lawsuit, the actress eagerly looks forward to testifying about her efforts to demand onset safety.

This bitter legal war shocked Hollywood, drawing in massive celebrities who could potentially testify. Ironically, despite the extremely dark backstage controversy, the romantic film still grossed a staggering $351,000,000 across global theaters.
